All players participating in the World Series will have the opportunity to go head to head against the other athletes in their age group! We will crown a Champion and Runner Up in four different skills competitions! Home Run Derby, Fastest Man, and Golden Arm.
Information below on each skill competition and how to register! Cost is $25 per skill for the Home Run Derby, Fastest Man and Golden Arm events. Players can participate in all three or just one! Individual Skills Competitions will begin at 5:00PM on Saturday, June 6th and end at 10:00PM that day. Players can show up at any time during the window to do their skills at the assigned park. We highly suggest showing up early to beat the long lines.
By pre-registering for the skills competition athletes will save both time and money. Online registration will close at 8:00PM CST on June 5th. There will be no walk up registrations at this years event. Location for Individual Skills - Waxahachie Sports Complex
Players participate based on the age of the team they are rostered on for the DFW World Series.
In order to be eligible to participate in the skills competitions athletes MUST be rostered on a team that is participating in the 2026 DFW World Series.

SKILLS COMPETITIONS Rules, Registration & Field Assignments
Easton/Rawlings Home Run Derby
Players will receive 12 pitches. Every pitch counts towards the total number of pitches whether the batter swings or takes the pitch. The player will receive only 12 pitches.
Player must provide their own pitcher and the pitcher must be an adult.

6U - 8U: 100’
9U - 10U: 125’
11U - 12U: 175’

Fastest time 40 yard dash!
Fastest Man Field Assignment
All ages will participate on Field 11.
All players who participate will run two (2) laser timed 40 yard dashes!
The fastest time between the athlete’s two attempts will determine the player’s official time.
If there is a tie, the other recorded time will be used as the tie breaker.
If laser timer is not working athletes will be timed by event staff on a handheld timer.

When will the Individual Skills Competition take place?

Will walk up registration be allowed?
No.
Do I need to bring baseballs?
Baseballs will be provided for the individual skills competitions; players will need to bring all other equipment. Pitcher for home run derby must be an adult. If the pitcher wants an L-Screen they will need to bring one with them.
What age group do I register for?
Players participate based on the age of the team they are rostered on for the DFW World Series.
