Individual SKILLS COMPETITION

We are excited to announce that for the DFW World Series we have partnered with Easton to bring you the Easton Skills Competitions! All players participating in the World Series will have the opportunity to go head to head against the other athletes in their age group! We will crown a Champion and Runner Up in three different skills competitions! Home Run Derby, Fastest Man, and Golden Arm! Athletes will have the opportunity to win a EASTON HYPE FIRE and USSSA Swag!

Information below on each skill competition and how to register! Cost is $25 per skill and players can participate in all three or just one! This is a completely separate skills competition from the one that the teams will have the chance to participate in on June 20th. The team skills competitions are team-based competitions and are FREE to the players that participate in them.

  1. When will the Easton Skills Competition take place?

    1. Thursday, June 20th - times and locations will be assigned by ages.

  2. Where will the Easton Skills Competition take place?

    1. Locations - TBA

  3. When is the deadline to register?

    1. Last day to register is June 17th @ 8:00AM.

  4. Are these the same skills competitions that the teams will compete in?

    1. No these are individual events.

  5. Do I need to bring baseballs?

    1. Baseballs will be provided for the individual skills competitions; players will need to bring all other equipment.

Champion and Runner Up in each skill competition will receive the following:

  • EASTON HYPE FIRE

  • One FREE item from the USSSA Merchandise store (items player will have to chose from include, Sunglasses, USSSA Merchandise, and much more!)

    • Players will need to visit one of the USSSA Merchandise stores to pick out their free item.

Home Run Derby (CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!)

  • 12 pitches, player must provide their own pitcher.

  • Home Run Distance

    • 6U - 8U: 100’

    • 9U - 10U: 125’

    • 11U - 12U: 175’

    • 13U: 225’

    • 14U: 250’

  • Entry Fee $25 per player

Fastest Man (CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!)

  • Fastest Man Rules: Fastest time 40 yard dash!

  • All players who participate will run a laser timed 40 yard dash!

  • Entry fee $25 per player

Golden Arm (CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!)

  • 5 Throws at a Socknet

  • Hit the net 1 point

  • Hit the net in the air 2 points

  • Stays in the sock net from air 5 points.

    • 6U - 8U: 100’
