2020 Tentative Itinerary
OPENING CEREMONIES ARE CANCELED AND RANGER’S GAME IS CANCELLED FOR 2020. SKILLS COMPETITION AND PIN TRADING ARE BEING EVALUATED NOW. MORE INFORMATION WILL BE SENT TO TEAMS DIRECTLY ON CHANGES BUT THE EVENT WILL PLAY AS NORMAL AS SCHEDULED IN TERMS OF BASEBALL GAMES.
June 26th, 2020 - Ranger Ticket Pick up Arlington Backyard off of North Plaza adjacent to Texas Live - Texas Ranger Stadium. Manager's must check in for their team at the same time they pick up ranger tickets. Please do not bring your players. We just need the manager and birth certificates. Players are welcome at Texas Live but not in the check in area. Check in will be at the same location as the Ranger's tickets. This is mandatory. Location of check in: Arlington Backyard off of North Plaza adjacent to Texas Live. 2-5:30pm
June 26th, 2020 - Team Check In, Skills, and Pin Trading. Skills will be from 8am-3pm. Ranger ticket pick up will be at Arlington Backyard off of North Plaza adjacent to Texas Live 2-5:30pm.
Locations for Skills and Pin Trading: Pin trading will be done at the location of your skills competition during your skills competition.
Teams will normally play 3 pool and double elimination bracket. We do reserve the right to modify this based on number of teams. If there are an odd number of teams, the lowest seed will play an extra pool game. The results of that pool game will count (along with pitching). We do split very large brackets into upper and lower divisions based on pool standings. The number of teams required to split into gold silver flights after pool play is determined by field availability and on logistics.
June 27th, 2020 - Pool Play (most teams play 2 games)
June 28th, 2020 - Pool Play finishes and Bracket Play may begin.
June 29th, 2020 - Bracket Play Continues and Parade of Teams at Texas Rangers Game. Rangers parade line up will be at TBD at the stadium near third base dugout entrance (subject to change). You must purchase tickets through tournament to participate in this. Players have to purchase tickets also.
June 30th, 2020 - Bracket Play continues
July 1st, 2020 - Bracket Play finishes.
July 2nd, 2020 - Used if Necessary for rain out on July 1st. This is a last resort. Every effort will be made to finish on July 1st or earlier. This day will only be used if July 1st is a complete rainout. If other adjustments can be made to finish on the 1st (cut game times, losers bracket eliminated, etc), the event will be finished on the 1st).
